-Sarah Boytnon

Vegetables are a must on a diet. I suggest carrot cake, zucchini bread and pumpkin pie.
<![CDATA[Summer Lemon Cookies]]>Thu, 23 Jul 2015 13:31:32 GMThttp://chocolatismblog.weebly.com/blog/summer-lemon-cookiesSummer! It's a legendary time for sweets. Fresh fruits, ice cream, and sweet lemonade battle the heat. But where to begin? There are so many treats, and such little time. But with these tasty lemon concoctions, you'll never go hungry again.

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon zest

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. In an electric mixer, mix the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add and egg and lemon zest continue to mix. Adjust zest to taste. Once the egg is fully mixed, add the baking powder and extract. Now add the flour, about 1/4 cups at a time. Put small balls of dough onto the baking sheet and cook for about 15 minutes.

1/6 cup butter
1/2 tsp lemon zest
1/6 cup lemon juice
2 cups powdered sugar

Put all ingredients into an electric mixer on low. once fully mixed, apply to cooled cookies with butter knife. Enjoy with tea or ice cream or just plain.

Hey guys! Sorry we haven't posted in awhile! We've been so busy lately with summer and haven't had a chance to invent anything. Just a reminder that we're still alive, and if if you're having a bad day, just imagine yourself eating one of these. By yourself. No judgment.

P.S. If you like chocolatism or have something to say, please comment! We love hearing from you.

<![CDATA[Caramel-y Delicious-y...Stuff]]>Mon, 15 Jun 2015 01:22:30 GMThttp://chocolatismblog.weebly.com/blog/caramel-y-delicious-ystuffSometimes you make something, and it tastes so good, but there's something off. The presentation. All cooking shows have told us, you will be judged 50% on taste, and 50% on presentation. Well, this can make any dessert the prize winner. Here's how it's done:

8 ounces water
8 ounces sugar
pinch of salt

Cover a cookie sheet in parchment paper and set it aside. Put all the ingredients in a small pot, and put them on the stove on medium heat, watching it carefully. Shake the pan every once in awhile to stir. When the mixture turns turns amber, turn off the heat and move the pot to a cooling rack. Get your cookie sheet and a wooden spoon. Get a little caramel on the spoon, and drizzle it on the parchment. You can make all sorts of patterns of all shapes and sizes. Let the designs cool fully, and then simply peel them off the paper.]]>

<![CDATA[Chocolate facts!]]>Sat, 06 Jun 2015 00:20:56 GMThttp://chocolatismblog.weebly.com/blog/chocolate-factsHeyo! Wonka here! Yesterday, Wolfy and I hopped a bus down to Chinatown. We saw so many amazing things, probably made more amazing by the amount of cream puffs and chocolate we had devoured. But of course, what is a visit to the International district without fortune cookies? Even though I probably ate enough of these to determine every event for the rest of my life, there was one fortune that was my very favorite:
And, if the day could be made any better, I found on the most beautiful fact that every single math teacher needs to know:
Studies show that chocolate can help improve mathematics if eaten while studying

<![CDATA[Mix-Up]]>Sat, 09 May 2015 00:07:49 GMThttp://chocolatismblog.weebly.com/blog/mix-upHey guys, Wolfy here! Sorry for the mix up on the survey. Looks like Wonka thought that cakes/cupcakes wasn't good enough. So that's beverages now. You know, milkshakes, root beer floats, and all that good stuff! We'll try to make recipes that are easy to follow, but hey, we are making things up as we go! Both Wonka and I are huge Harry Potter fans, so we might go a bit off topic.

Love and Chocolate,

Post Scriptum: Slytherins Rule! Don't listen to Wonka with all her Hufflepuff nonsense! :)]]>
